I am a Kelly Freak but I honestly think I am not being biased here when I say her coaching was great. What she told her two partners was IMO the perfect thing to tell them.
John Legend was too critical and IMO full of **** in his comments about Jordan. I think he is the one giving out the lowest rankings. I wish they would not be secret.
I watched the first show and thought it was just okay. I'm watching right now and cooking at the same time, so I only heard John Legend's gal from the kitchen and have sat down to listen to Kelly's gal. The pink haired girl is very good. John Legend sure has a lot of criticisms and I think it could be him who is rating both of Kelly's contenders really low. Jealous maybe? I don't know.

You really called it I think Stella. I know you want to keep it real but if John is being so harsh the other judges are going to be forced into ranking singers lower or John's will run away with it.
Man did Jennifer and John sing the hell out of Ain't no Mountain High Enough. Great Singers. Any worries that Jennifer can only sing Country I think were put to rest.
Robin thick is surprising me with what a good singer he is. He sang Where is the Love with Olivia. She is pretty hot so her doing duets with a guy come off as better presentation. She is a very good artist IMO though. Second best voice of the nice behind John but should move into first so far. I think the format of this show with the mentor rating the opponents is a recipe for disaster. She fell into fourth place and I think that is just wrong.

Dang I step away for a few minutes and John Legend is back to recruiting singers. So I think the guys name John Garvey must have lost his spot on the show. Mario and Meleana were vying to take the spot. I think Mario was the better of the two. But Meleana is a hot female.
I was pretty sure he was going to pick Meleana. About time Females get some preferential treatment in one of these singing competitions. Sorry for Mario because that guy was amazing.
Meleana moves into first. Wow. She sang fine IMO but nothing special. She is the hottest one in the competition though and Endless Love is probably the most popular song choice.
Jennifer Nettles with a very strange choice for a duet picking You're the one That I want. John Travolta can't sing so what is J Rome going to do with it.
Edit: They brought out dancers and props and made a spectacle out of it and it actually worked. I am quite surprised.

Alexis sings very well and is just as hot if not hotter than Meleana. Top female for voice and presentation. J Rome probably the best of the men in combination even though I think John Glosson is a better vocalist. So my rankings one to eight after two shows.

I think the top three are head and shoulders above the other five who are very equal except for Brenda who IMO was definitely the weakest of the whole group despite the mentors rating her pretty high.
WOW first song is John and Brenda covering George Michael and Aretha's I knew you were waiting for me. I think George Michael is way underrated by most people just because he is kind of a perv but the man has about the purest male voice I have ever heard in pop music. John will have a tall order covering him. I actually think Aretha is a little bit easier to cover.
I've mentioned this on many threads here ... George Michael has one of THE best male voices of the 80s and possibly of the last three decades!
