Kelly and Jordan do Mama's Broken Heart. The song didn't work for me at all. Jordan started out a little weak. When Kelly joined in the song gained a lot of energy and Jordan started singing better. Her voice sounded OK but didn't do much for me.
John Legend and Meleana Brown sing If I ain't got You. John was in great voice and Meleana has a soft and pretty tone. I think they blended very well. Kelly mentioned that when she goes big she gets a little nasaly. I don't know if that is the right word but I think she might be lacking a little bit of power but very nice job for the two of them.
Robin and Olivia did Crazy in Love. Big hit for Beyonce that honestly I didn't even know. I am not a big fan of urban. I love some Beyonce song's though. Anyway I didn't like the song and I didn't think they did a good job on it. UV it certainly is IMO a competitor for worst song of the night.
Jennifer and J Rome with a wonderful rendition of How am I supposed to Live without You. This guy can really sing and he has great instincts of where to take a song. His voice is ballpark as good as John Glosson but his presentation blows him away. This guy is a very strong favorite at this point in the competition. I think strange stuff would have to happen for him not to win this.
John Legend and Bridget (I called her Brenda last week sorry) did the Gladys Knight version of Heard it through the Grapevine. All I can say is WOW what an improvement I heard in her. Loved the deeper voice tonight and the attitude she brought it and reminded me more of Tina Turner than Gladys Knight. I went to Youtube to hear Gladys do it and sure enough it was the same way that Bridget sang it. What a turnaround is all I can say again.
Ooops I forgot to review the Jason and Kelly Hallelujah. Jason sounds good and has the pretty boy with a nice smile thing going for him. Totally makes me think of Enrique Iglesias. Nice blending with Kelly but made some funny faces when he sings.
I think Alexis sang maybe a little bit better than Jason in the showdown. Real close though. Shame for one bad performance to cost Alexis her spot because I think she is better than last out of this group for sure.
Nobody commenting on this weeks performances yet. I have listened to a few of them utilizing a link from VFTW. Want to do this when I have it all together.
So pissed at this week's results. She was one of the upper-mid tier singers and not one of the worst. Olivia is THE worst. What were those judges thinking?
Since You've Been Gone was a horrible choice, though. John Legend is not good at picking songs.

Agree on both points! I think they rated Legend's gal out because they didn't want Robin to have nobody left on his team. Perhaps they have too many judge mentors and not enough contestants? There is definitely something wrong with this show for me. I feel like the pros are too much of the show. The amateurs pale in comparison IMO. I would suggest maybe three judge mentors with three amateurs each. I don't know but I do know that I am losing interest in this show and it is definitely NOT nearly as good as the other "singing" competitions for me. BTW, I missed the first 3-4 performances this past week and couldn't pay full attention for the rest of the show that I did see and started multi-tasking EXCEPT for Robin's duet. I don't know what it is exactly but I think he is VERY sexy. Once Olivia is eliminated (probably sooner rather than later), all there will be left for me to enjoy is Kelly's personality and I don't think that will be enough to keep me watching with interest. I'm not excited by any of the singers - some are more talented than others but each lacks something, so no clear favorite and as I mentioned earlier, the pros are detracting from the amateurs for me. JMHO.

Meleana is clearly IMO better than Olivia. Olivia's voice was shaky when she did her sing for her life? Meleana was also the best eye candy too which was disappointing. Thing is on this show with the judges scoring you based on that performance only you can be gone at any time.
I don't want to let this show die because I really like the mentors/coaches and a couple of the singers John Glosson and J Rome. However I was too busy to watch the show last night and now I need to watch the NBA playoffs tonight and have a couple of movies from the Library to watch. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally found some time to get on Hulu and catch up on Duets. John and Jennifer open the show with My Heart will Go On and it is freaking spectacular.
Kelly and Jordan sang Take My Breath Away. Robin felt that the performance was solid vocally but lacking in presentation. It had some nice moments but not in the vocal class of John Glosson.
