| Have you all seen and voted in the favorite Idol poll on the home page? Top three are Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Phillip Phillips. For a while Carrie was pulling away and P2 was coming close to Kelly. Good news though as Kelly is my favorite she has recently made up some ground on Carrie and pulled away from P2 a bit. Poll is only open to winners so Adam Lambert who I am sure would get some votes is not in it. I am thinking P2 is getting a big boost by being the most recent idol. |

Hey nice of you to chime in. Did you vote in that poll. I notice you lean very strongly to the WGWG's with only Kelly sneaking in to break it up. There was no option to rank in order on the poll just select your one favorite. OK if I were to rank my favorite winners in order I would go
1)Kelly Clarkson
2)Carrie Underwood
3)Jordan Sparks
4)David Cook Should have been Archie
5)Scottie He may be country and look like Alfred E Newman but he can sing
6)Taylor Hicks Something I like about him not sure what. Should have been Daughtry or McPhee
7)Kris Allen should have been ADAM duh...
8)P2 Should have been Joshua or Jessica
9)Reuben Should have been Clay
10)Lee Dewyze incredible that a very average bar singer could win out of the entire nation Should have been Crystal or Siobhan.
11)Fantasia I watched one episode of season three heard Simon declare her the winner in advance and never watched again until season five.

Yeah I voted for Cook. I will add that I was cool with Lee winning but Siobhan was my favorite and was worthy as well.

I will disagree with Archie over Cook. As much as I tend to like the more "unusual" voices, it seems that you go for the more "pure" voices(Pia,Jessica etc.).Not sure if I used the right words there, but you know what I mean. It's cool that everyone has their own tastes though. The WGWG seems true, but of course I would have loved to see Elise win this year!quote:

Cook was IMO quite good. I think Syesha Mercado was that year and she was quite good. I just think that Archie was freaking great. Other than Siobhan and Crystal Lee's year was quite weak IIRC. After those two Lee was as good as the rest or was Katie Stevens that year? She was better than Lee also. I think the general consensus not saying right or wrong is that Lee is the weakest winner ever. Fantasia seems to be a love her or hate her and we both hated her. |

I did vote for Ruben over Clay, but they were both quite good that year. Obviously, that was the best finale Idol ever had, IMHO.

| I signed in using IE instead of Firefox and I think it let me vote again. So cool to see that Kelly Clarkson is now in first but both her and Carrie at 27% of the total of 444 votes. |

Hey UV nice to see you chime in. I checked on the poll again and it is getting a bit more in line with reality. Carrie is at 27% Kelly at 26% and P2 is now at 16% so his numbers are dropping as I expected they would. He was getting too many votes simply based on being the most recent winner.
UV you really think Blake should have won over Jordin, Lakesha and Gladys Knight version 2.0? |
